So why did they trade away Mack if the goal was to win in 2019? Sounds like a poor plan.

 It's really not that complicated.

Simply put, Gruden wasn't going to pay a defensive player that kind of dough, especially when there were so many needs to address. The irony is the Raiders drafted horribly in rounds 2-4 for a number of years, unlike the Bears.

Broncos suck, Chargers are frauds, and all of KC's best players are violent criminals getting kicked off the team. Everything points to it being the Raiders year in 2019. Just win baby.

I'm still waiting for Mack to play all four quarters of a game.

I don't think the Bears made a mistake. I think they paid a fair, albeit very high, price for a game changing player.

I'm sure that you do. In the meantime, the entire Bear's defense feeds off of this "part time" player and is the best defense in the entire NFL. No team has shit their pants more in NFL history than the Raiders in the modern football age.

Nagy told reporters that Mack was lifting weights during the super bowl. That is the dedication I like in my players...as long as we aren't playing in it.

It looks like you overpaid for Mack now.

The Raiders have your 1st round pick for next year, and you don't have an O-Line or a QB. Your receivers aren't too good either.

Wasn't one of the stories back then that the cash poor Raiders didn't have funds available to put into escrow for the guaranteed portion of his contract? Which seems odd given that the NFL cuts each team a yearly check for a quarter billion just from tv revenue.

Rick didn't get any traction with that.

He's running with the "farm team" thing now.

Are the Raiders trying to win this year?

the new narrative is that Mack did not want to play for Gruden.

Did you watch the game, Rick?

If you did, you would only be questioning one team's desire to win and it wouldn't be the RAIDERS.

You've been trolling pretty hard the last 36 hours, but this is a terrible post. Not for a second do I question the Bears effort or will to win. They were out classed and outplayed yesterday. That is on players' lack of execution and coaches not making adjustments or not having the right gameplan in place.

If the Bears really had no desire to win, they would have folded up shop when they were down 14-0 and started looking forward to their bye week. Given that they came back and held the lead for a good chunk of the second half, shows they had the desire to win yesterday.

The narrative should be that Mack doesn't want to play when Gruden is in the same stadium, based on his effort yesterday.

Raiders offense thought it was a walk-through. Show up and score points.
