You could have Randy Moss in his prime on the right uncovered and Terrell Owens on the left wide open and (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky would still max out at 98 yards and 0 TDs before adding another 150 in garbage time.

He's 24 years old and the most productive TE in the NFL this season. It would have to be a pretty goddamn expensive offer for them to even consider it, and then you would just be making the same mistake the Rams did - trading high draft capital for a player before resigning him and giving him all the leverage in the world in contract negotiations.

It simply doesn't make sense for the Bears to pursue.

No such thing in the NFL. Cap can always be manipulated.

Nagy's offense works best with a quality TE and the Bears don't have one. Whether it's (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky or you starting next year the Bears will need a TE or 2.

Not sure they would. I read an article about it a couple days ago on twitter about the financial situation they are in and that they could possibly look to trade him since they probably could not afford to resign him after the season.
