Bears should have been in on Emmanual Sanders. Still plenty in the take and all the WR's suck after RObinson. Miller is a bust!

They should be calling Atlanta to try and get their TE.

You could have Randy Moss in his prime on the right uncovered and Terrell Owens on the left wide open and (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky would still max out at 98 yards and 0 TDs before adding another 150 in garbage time.

Why would the Falcons do that?

Because they are 1-6 and Austin Hooper is a free agent.

He's 24 years old and the most productive TE in the NFL this season. It would have to be a pretty goddamn expensive offer for them to even consider it, and then you would just be making the same mistake the Rams did - trading high draft capital for a player before resigning him and giving him all the leverage in the world in contract negotiations.

It simply doesn't make sense for the Bears to pursue.

Irrelevant. He's 24, not 30.

They could tag him.

I still haven't gotten a good answer. Their record is irrelevant to this considering his age and production this year.

They could. This is already starting to sound like the Bears next clusterfuck. Hope it happens!

The Falcons are in cap hell and literally have zero chance to retain him.

No such thing in the NFL. Cap can always be manipulated.

Besides, if they are just giving away a 24 year old very talented TE for cap reasons, stop kidding yourself, Belichick is getting him, not Pace.

Nagy's offense works best with a quality TE and the Bears don't have one. Whether it's (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky or you starting next year the Bears will need a TE or 2.

Matt Ryan and Julio Jones eat over 30% of their cap. They are not re-signing Hooper.

Tampa might move Howard as Aryan's doesn't use TE's.

Patriots checked and they said no.

Not sure they would. I read an article about it a couple days ago on twitter about the financial situation they are in and that they could possibly look to trade him since they probably could not afford to resign him after the season.
