It's unusual when you have a team this bad and yet you can still root for a win b/c the draft implications are less than they might otherwise typically be. So there's that. I guess. Whatever.

Good to know Giants are officially eliminated from the playoffs. I really thought they were going to make the playoffs.

Could be twice within five days as I'm watching the Lions about to lose to the woeful (sorry Greg) Redskins. Thanksgiving may be a wretched game to watch.

This team plays well for about one quarter and then looks like garbage the other three. I'm really curious how we do against GB, Minnesota, and KC. Detroit is another game we will win unless we find a way to back into a loss... which is possible.

I've been following a YouTube channel called "Boom or Bust" for a while now. It's by a coach, who's a Bears fan. His analysis is measured and not overly emotional. It's pretty close to the direction I'm leaning. I think he's worth a listen. (And, no, I'm not "Boom or Bust." I wish I were as good as he is. But, I'll never understand football at the level he does. I'm a meatball fan.)

Gotta love his thoughts on Adam Shaheen:

“I think just some stuff with a little bit of just in that time that it occurred, like in that time that the inactiveness and then the next week he just started having some pain,” Nagy said Friday. “That’s where it was at. So, when you’re in that part of the pain issue and then the previous week he was inactive, so we just … that’s where we’re at.”

Nagy's mumbo jumbo makes Trestman's ramblings sound coherent.

Next time if you are looking to draft a tight end, take the kid that played Division 1 at Iowa instead of some shit-kicking meth-head from "Ashland" university.

Braunecker is not the answer at the position but he has looked better in his time starting than Shaheen ever has. He surprisingly gets open downfield on the regular. Now, he dropped a wide open TD yesterday but I've never seen Shaheen ever get wide open.

That sounds to me like a very deliberate, semi-diplomatic "he's dead to me" kind of quote.

Yes, ever since someone on this board posted recently that he thought (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was overcoached (can’t remember who, whoever you are, thank you), I’ve been looking into it on and off when I have time. It’s becoming more and more obvious that Nagy is responsible for this shit show. It’s so easy to blame the lowest men on the totem pole. But, the list of things that go back to coaching is too long to list: too many missed assignments, too much undisciplined play, etc. etc. etc., all across the board. When so many different things go wrong at the same time, it’s a red flag to look at coaching.

Nagy has drawn so much attention to himself lately that more and more people are looking harder and harder at him and realizing that he is the biggest problem. (Another interesting YouTube channel is "Bears Barroom." Again, lots of analysis of tape too.) I’m with O’Bradovich and YouTube coaches at lower levels that he’s not an NFL head coach. I also don’t think he’s fixable. I don’t think he’s like a young Josh McDaniels who may end up being a good head coach his second time around. He crumbles under pressure, and he seems too arrogant to listen to other people. He has some smarts, but he’s not anywhere close to being consistently smart. Truly smart guys listen to other people and don’t head up shit shows.

Also, I’m imagining that coaches like Harry Hiestand are wondering who in the heck they agreed to work for. I would love to hear Olin Kreutz’s opinion on this, but he would probably never tell us.

How does Steve Tabor keep his job?

I assume Nagy is still here next year. That has to be his first move this off season. The team is generally undisciplined but the special team is like Delta House.

The offense is just as inept as the ST.
