This game let you know that this shit is more on Nagy than anyone else.
Yes, ever since someone on this board posted recently that he thought (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was overcoached (can’t remember who, whoever you are, thank you), I’ve been looking into it on and off when I have time. It’s becoming more and more obvious that Nagy is responsible for this shit show. It’s so easy to blame the lowest men on the totem pole. But, the list of things that go back to coaching is too long to list: too many missed assignments, too much undisciplined play, etc. etc. etc., all across the board. When so many different things go wrong at the same time, it’s a red flag to look at coaching.
Nagy has drawn so much attention to himself lately that more and more people are looking harder and harder at him and realizing that he is the biggest problem. (Another interesting YouTube channel is "Bears Barroom." Again, lots of analysis of tape too.) I’m with O’Bradovich and YouTube coaches at lower levels that he’s not an NFL head coach. I also don’t think he’s fixable. I don’t think he’s like a young Josh McDaniels who may end up being a good head coach his second time around. He crumbles under pressure, and he seems too arrogant to listen to other people. He has some smarts, but he’s not anywhere close to being consistently smart. Truly smart guys listen to other people and don’t head up shit shows.
Also, I’m imagining that coaches like Harry Hiestand are wondering who in the heck they agreed to work for. I would love to hear Olin Kreutz’s opinion on this, but he would probably never tell us.
