All this Amos greatness and not a single instance of objective facts.

I posted numbers that showed at worse that Dix and Amos were equal, and you could even argue using those numbers that Dix has been better.

Amos isn't great. He's solid and dependable. Sometimes that's all you need.

Objective fact: GB's overall record and defensive ranking are better this year than any single year Haha played for GB.

It's not the QB position. You're not going to make a compelling argument using total tackles. The positional upgrade at Safety for Green Bay this year has been tremendous, and it's impossible not to notice on Sundays.

Objective fact; they are equal in interceptions, Amos has given up more than 150 yards than Dix, and QBs are higher rated for more YPC when they throw at Amos over Dix.

And Haha missed a tackle on almost 20% of those targets at him

Health, schedule and Smith's explain Packers improvement.

Dix has created more turnovers, had fewer balls completed against him, scored more points and quarterbacks have a lower quarterback rating throwing at him. He has ONLY 3 more missed tackles.

This is some LTG-esque goalpost moving you are doing here, FF.

He's not ignoring facts. Each player fits different roles.

Amos is a steady dependable player who brought leadership and stability to the Packers secondary.

HHCD has greater upside but he's unreliable. He's a dumbass too often. He's been good for the Bears this year but he only excels in a defense with infrastructure making him a role player.

Just stop it. They revamped the defense with a handful of new starters. You would use the same argument to praise any of the new guys, including Savage.

When you guys wanted everyone to believe Blake Martinez was awesome, he brought stability and leadership.

Nobody ever said Blake was awesome. I simply corrected Bob when he said Martinez wasn’t a starting caliber ILB.

Blake is gonna get paid this summer. Hopefully not by GB.

For $30 million.

The Bears can walk away from Dix on December 30th.

Bears are paying Mack $140 million and getting a worse return on their investment

Great point. I'm very happy Savage is learning from Amos rather than HHCD.

  FF moving the goalposts again! This thread isn't about Mack. There are all sorts of threads about him. Post there if you wish to discuss Mack. If you're unsure of what thread, send Furious a PM as he seems to know all of the Mack threads here.

This is about Dix being at worst equal to the caliber of player Amos has been this season.

The Mack comeback fit naturally within this thread when you started talking about return on investment for contracts.

Yup. Needs to close on those INTs but he’s usually in the right spot.

Mack had a DPoY type season last year.

Great. We’re talking about this season. It’s probably not great that he’s already trending downwards in year 2 of a 6 year deal.

More so for the Packers fans who are on the losing side of this argument,

11-3 vs 7-7, I’d say were on the right side.

Do you want to talk about Mack, or team records, or Amos vs Ha-Ha? Make up your mind.
