Question, will Tyrus Thomas be playing also? I would think that would be good, then him and Rose can work on developing the timing like Chandler and Paul have.

Hope so. So far he has been useless.

Am I the only one who's a little weary about Rose in the summer league? My foremost concern is the fact that he's already going from the college season to the NBA season, and the summer league will only make the fatigue worse; this may not be an issue for a guy who's going to get a little playing time here and there in his rookie season, but presumably Rose will be starting.

The other concern, and I hate to even put it in writing, is injury. I guess I just wonder how much a Derrick Rose gets out of summer league experience.

I'd be surprised if Thomas plays in the Summer League. It seems that it is primarily populated by 1st & 2nd year players and I don't get the feeling that Thomas is a team-first kind of person. I hope I'm wrong in that regard though. Actually - I'd bee happy to hear that he is working out at the Berto center on a regular basis...but again I doubt it. :(

I stand corrected. Maybe Tyrus is growing up :D

Paxson said Tyrus Thomas and Joakim Noah will be part of the Bulls' summer league team, which begins practice Thursday and plays its first game in Orlando on Monday. It is unusual for a player entering his third season, such as Thomas, to take part in summer league. But Thomas said the idea of helping Rose start his career, combined with having witnessed some of the Boston Celtics run to the NBA championship, made him decide to participate. Thomas was in Boston to support Celtics forward Glen Davis, his former LSU teammate. Chicago Sun-Times

^^Wow, that's really good news, IMO. I guess maybe Rose can get something out of the summer league. And just maybe, Thomas can get his eyes on the prize.

I agree this is good news. Hopefully Rose, Thomas, and Noah can form a good relationship and that can only help us this season.

Just like Chris Paul did for Tyson Chandler!

Sounds like you are ready to jump on the bandwagon Nas!

Beasley looks really good, but he looks like a really good SF. Also, the Bulls arent guarding him well at all. Rose is being very deferential.

It's broadcast on the web only I think. There's a link on the front page of bulls.com

The offense moved way, way better under Rose then without him.

I just connected to it, and the first thing I saw was Rose fake someone out of their shoes and drive to the basket and get fouled. That looked really good and was something we never saw last year.
