You just said you are certain he can play up to those standards. What are you going to use to compare?

Can he make the same throws and execute on the same plays? I think he can. Goff sucks.

What's the end result of "executing plays"?

Which is more important, converting 3rd& 6 with a seven yard gain or failing to convert 3rd & 20 with a fifteen yard gain? The latter looks twice as good on the stat sheet as the former. Which one is going to win you more games? And before you start throwing around 3rd down %'s, that is misleading too.

The one stat I dont hate is interceptions for quarterbacks. I dont mind sacks, I think they are cool. I think there is a certain skill in a runningback or receiver having a "nose" for the endzone that can sometimes be shown in TD statistics, but you'd have better luck just watching the games to identify those guys.

Stats are for people who dont watch football yet want to have an opinion on it.

Was there an answer to my question of what is the end result of a QB executing plays?

Your point had nothing to do with answering what I asked you. I didn't really think it was that difficult.

Kevin White had 1500 yards receiving his last year at WVU. Is that not proven college performance? That's more than Micheal Crabtree, the guy who rewrote the receiving recordbook, had in his last year before the draft.

And if we are going to complain that the likes of Stephen Denmark and Kylie Fitts being drafted in the sixth round and not becoming all-pros is proof that Pace has no idea what he's doing...well that's basically saying you will be dissatisfied with any GM the Bears hire. Everyone draft busts. Even the Shaheen pick, though bad, is not really one that should cost him his job or particularly indicative of Pace's supposed desire to be the smartest guy in the room. Pace mostly drafts chalk. White, Smith, Floyd...none of those picks were even remotely surprising.

White only played a year of major college football, should have drafted Amari Cooper. Floyd while a great athlete never produced at Georgia and has not done much to merit being a top 10 pick. Smith pick was solid, but even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and again. Sixth round picks should provide depth to your roster, these guys and Iggy are providing you nothing, not sure why you are so invested in protecting Pace? Are you his agent or something? Have not even addressed the franchise altering (and the flub that will likely cost Pace his job) miss at QB, I'll let you defend that one.

I don’t mind dunking on America but he’s right here. You can’t judge a QB by stats. Goff has great stats since his rookie year, he’s clearly a very flawed QB.

Goff had a bad year, the stats back it up. He had a good year in 18, 17 and the stats back that up.. it's why his team made the playoffs and went to a SB.

I'm not going to get into a semantics argument over good or bad but you're making my point (and America's) for me. He's the same QB.

LA went to the Super Bowl with a quarterback who is really not appreciably better than (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. The year before Nick Foles won the thing. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky can play up to those standards, I am very certain of it.

The Bears were itching for another crack at the Rams last year. We were their boogeymen. That kick goes in and I think our ticket to the NFC Championship game was booked.

I completely agree with this.
The defense carried the 2018 team. The offense I do recall was not very good. They were worse in 2019. One of the major philosophical problems I have with Pace on how to win with an elite defense. You cannot lean on your defense to win for you with Nagy's offense. Too many turn overs. Too little clock management. You have to have a running game. The Bears have not had that in the last 2 years.
In terms of (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky, compared to Goff and Foles....I have no issue with that. Foles and Goff had top running games leading their successful seasons. In 2 seasons, Nagy has clearly shown his running game philosophy and production is not good.

Wrong.. Goff had two years that Mitch will never replicate, Foles had a season where he threw for 27 TD and 2 picks.. Mitch will never sniff that. Those guys ain't great but Mitch is significantly worse.

Not saying I agree or disagree with you, but if you put (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky on the 2017 and 2018 Rams (in place of Goff).... are you saying he would have been just as bad as he is on the Bears?

Goff Chucks it down field, Mitch throws screens and dumpoffs in the flat. I'd take mcvay over Nagy but Goff has a better arm than Mitch, throws a better deep ball too. Goff isn't even good but I'd take him him over Mitch.

Kind of sad when you think of it. In 2018 Rams were in the Super Bowl with Goff and we finished 12-4 with (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky.... now we are debating who is a worse QB. Imagine if either of us had a good QB in 2018.
