All that matters is the 5-0 season record up to this point against the Royals.

Kinda like 9-3 for the Cubs against the Pirates (including a few extra innings games)

It's funny seeing people quote Steve every once in awhile. Im able to get a laugh out of him every once in awhile still, without seeing all the good baseball threads hijacked by his multiple idiotic comments. It doesnt fucking matter how much you win by. Two come from behind wins on the road are impressive, regardless of the opponent(One that seems to dominate the NL, like Rick said.)

Twins beat the Tigers today in extras. Oh well, one of them lost. We'll take that. Sox can go up 8 games on the tigers with a win tonight.

It isweird that the Tigers/Twins played a day game to start a 4-game series. Maybe this was a make up game.

That was brutal - you don't walk Guillen with first base open? He's the only real bat they got in that lineup.

What was brutal was Konerko's effort on that routine DP ball.

I wish Konk was still on the DL.

Swisher would have made that play and BA would have played that double correctly.

Once again, good ole 56 can't pitch around a mistake in the field.
He seems to have picked up that slack with the departure of Garland.

Put this loss on Ozzie. As someone correctly pointed out, you intentionally walk Guillen in that situation. He is the only person on that team who drives in runs. Also, Anderson should have been in CF by that point in the game with a one run lead.

How can you blame Ozzie when your captain apparently took his .213 average out on the field in the 8th?

I would've put Brian Anderson or DeWayne Wise in center field as a defensive replacement and shifted Nick Swisher to first in the bottom 8th, even though the White Sox only had a 1-0 lead at the time and it looked Mark Buehrle was in control until the missed double play kept the inning going. That was the turning point in last night's game, and Steve Stone made a valid point on "The SCORE" last night in stating it could come back to haunt the Sox. It did, and the Royals got 4 runs to win it.

If the manager has a modest amount of foresight, Guillen (royals) has the bat taken out of his hands.

7+ innings of 2 run 5 hit ball out of Buerhle is hardly something to get huffy about.

It is if this is a trend in the pitcher's career.

Its one game. Against the fucking Royals, who were 0-4 vs. the Sox prior to last nite. The Sox were not going to go 17 or 18-0 against KC this year.

Its also very tough to win when the only offense you muster is one solo HR.
