I am not even that familiar with what happened, but there's a difference between challenging your own pre-conceptions and subverting your own sense of reason when under social pressure to do so. Well I know the taser could be fired because Brooks fired it at the officer pursuing him. Whether that was six shots or only five I don't know, and it would be unreasonable to expect officers to not only count their shots, but the shots of assailants as well. And even if it was a one shot taser, the fact that Brooks fired it at the officer evinced an intent to incapacitate the officer, which is a threat that warrants deadly force.

That's a lot of words to be completely wrong with. I even organized a board outing, people had fun! And don't try to turn this into a referendum on my life accomplishments because I'm calling you out for being dishonest in your retelling of what happened. Also still waiting on the first ounce of evidence of racism from me to be presented by you or anybody.

Every second there are more than 11 police contacts in America. Every 3 mins there is an arrest. Only 5% of arrests are for violent crimes. I'm not sure how anyone can look at data and think that we aren't over policed.

towns are not making money on police. the things you mention are a pittance of what it costs to fund your local police force.

Cops are allowed to use their discretion when it comes to making contacts and arrests. Similar to prosecutors when it comes to the cases they want to try.
