You all can fight over this all you want to, but the reality is that the Rams' most valuable player was their punter. :lol:

Even if we say that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is a bigger bust than Cade McCown, you still can't say he was a bigger bust than Curtis Enis unless it has to be a quarterback. That's not even getting into the Cedric Benson discussion.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky vs Enis is a good one. I will say there are two things working in favor of the (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky as a bigger bust argument:

1) he was picked higher than Enis (I hope this is indisputable)

2) You're expecting an all-world RB at #5 just like you're expecting a franchise QB at #2. Both failed spectacularly. I think missing on (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was more detrimental to the franchise than missing on Enis. If you hit on QB you're open up a window for contention for a long time. Not necessarily true for RB, even if you strike gold. When you add the additional draft capital expended to acquire (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky, it amplifies the hit the franchise took that night. That's why he's the biggest draft bust in Chicago history.

The way Pace/Nagy is going they'll trade two picks to DC for Alex Smith because he's run Andy Reid's stuff before. It won't matter that Alex Smith was actually a free agent, they'll still trade two picks for him.

What I don't get about the criticism of the Nick Mitch thing is that topic is a classic sports debate taking place on a sports message board. If ya'll want to transform the site into some blog on JDC and the coronavirus then have at it, but so as long as the site is about Chicago sports then ya'll can take your thoughts on the Rick Mitch stuff and shove them up your asses.
