Yes Foles has proven to not be good, but Patrick Mahomes would most assuredly be injured by now playing behind this line as well.

We need to use all our draft picks on OL, and sign at least a couple top tier OL FAs.

I'm pretty sure Mahomes would still have success behind the Bears oline.

There's really zero doubt about it. Anyone arguing to the contrary is just being ridiculous.

Do you watch Bears games?

The line is absurdly bad.

Like getting blown backwards on every play.

The rushing offense is non existent.

It wasn't an excuse when (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was playing though. That's the point. They also didn't look nearly as bad.

As for the rushing game, in the games that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky started this year, they ran for 149, 135, and 130 though obviously that 130 was a combined effort of both quarterbacks.

The running stats plummeted when Foles was in there after that.

Well...the failures the OL are pretty well documented, both locally and nationally. Not excusing horrid play from Foles but he's not wrong about the line.

Of course he's wrong about the line. Are you seriously suggesting Pat Mahomes would not have success behind that line? Not sure you thought this one out.

He wouldn't be as effective but of course he'd be better than our three headed monster.

Guys like him and Russell Wilson would still be MVP candidates behind that OL. Not saying the OL isn't trash, not saying OL isn't important, but the line I quoted from the agent sounds like it was said by somebody who doesn't understand football at all and/or loves to be hyperbolic. It's just a dumbass thing to say.

Okay, I can meet you there. It may be safe to assume that this is how Robinson feels. Interesting insight into the mindset of the offense if this is any indication.

Foles bad.

O-Line worst I’ve ever seen.

This isn’t hard.

I've watched quite a few Bears games recently. Not sure what to tell you if you think QBs cant succeed with bad OL in front of them. Russ did it for like 5+ years of his career already.

But, if you think the main difference between Pat Mahomes and Nick Foles is the OL in front of them then I'm not sure what else I can say to convince you otherwise. It's just an obscenely dumb take.

It's probably not even the worst OL in the NFL this year. FOH with this hyperbolic nonsense.

The offensive line is also at a major disadvantage because Foles is immobile even when you judge him against other quarterbacks that aren't really good at running. Even Drew Brees can be a threat to run if the field opens up. Foles as he approaches the line of scrimmage does everything in his power to make sure he can still throw the ball. Defenses can play far more aggressive when there is no way that the quarterback can hurt them with even a 5 yard run.

Right. If Mahomes and Foles switched spots before the season the Bears are probably 8-2 right now and JBills would have almost zero OL complaints.

Of course we can prove it. Is this your first year of watching NFL football? Russ and pre-2012 Rodgers had perennial success with some of the worst OL in the league.

You said Mahomes would be unsuccessful behind this Bears OL. I won't add anything extra you didn't say. That's an embarrassing enough thought on it's own.

No they’d have a losing record because Mahomes would have been injured in the 3rd game after holding on to the ball too long like he usually does.

He's for sure doing a bit..you can't pontificate that Mahomes is already the best QB that ever lived(he might be) then say he wouldn't have any success behind a bad oline. It's a 'Rube level take.

Cohen and Patterson are included in those totals as well. I'm not saying the o-line is the primary reason the QBs suck, I'm saying it's an open secret about how poor our o-line is.

Bad O-lines can get good QBs hurt pretty easily.

Not really following you here. It'd be difficult but with Mahomes the Bears may be 8-2 or 9-1 if the defense played at the same level. I wouldn't be too confident about a SB birth because of a lack of explosive talent on offense, and the leaky line.

Someone needs to trade Mahomes to the Bears on Madden with latest roster update, and sim this season 100 times to get the average record.

If the average is anything more than 9-7 I’ll buy you guys a drink at the next board outing I attend.

Nope. All this tells me is you have a very low standard on who you consider the GOAT.

There's very little doubt that the Bears would be SB favorites if Foles and Mahomes were traded for eachother before Week 1.

I ran it ten times and Mahomes averaged 300 yards a game on 57/71 passing.

10 season sims in 4 minutes, and you were able to do the math on averages in that time too?
