Jackson won an MVP and he's put up better or comparable numbers WITHOUT a top 2 or 3 WR in the NFL.

All else equal, would you prefer Wilson or Jackson on the Bears?

I'm intrigued by the potential of Jackson, but I would probably take the finished product that is Russell Wilson.

Agreed. I’d have Russ at #2 long term (I’m assuming 37yr old Rodgers is on some emo-PEDs).

I don’t think you can teach Jackson how to throw and that’s always going to limit him.

I don’t disagree necessarily but a limited Lamar is still a top 6 QB in the league. If he gets just a little better at passing while he’s in his athletic prime it’s over for the rest of the league.

Lamar is probably the best athlete in the league, If threw on the run when these safeties and corners freeze up when he rolls out he would be so much more deadly. His arm is strong AF.

Problem with Jackson is so much of his game depends on him running the ball. How many NFL QB's have a long successful career doing that?

Impossible to know. We’ve never seen anybody like Lamar before.

Vick is the closest comp obviously but Lamar is a completely different player.

Watson is a fun quarterback to watch. If I could will him to the Bears would I? Yes 100%. But he's still got the stink of 4 win season. But we can give him a mulligan...no more though...hes pulled the "I get to pick the GM card"..another 4-5 win season and he owns that.

He didn’t get to pick the GM

He’s not pouting nor asking to pick the GM. He’s rightfully indignant that the Texans are probably the most dysfunctional organization in the NFL. He’s not the only Texan to say so. After Mahomes, Watson is the next QB in line when you are asking which QB will you want under center for the next decade.

A lot of stat padding late in games during a 4-12 season.

I would take Jackson, Allen, Burrow, Herbert, Dak and maybe even Lawrence. I don't think Watson or Murray will last 10 years

Your record on QBs has been stellar.

I feel better about my record for quarterbacks not named Grossman or (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. Let's not forget that I was on an island when it came to Brady until the last 7 years or so. That's when MANY of you all decided to join me.

I came to the board believing that Brady was better than Manning and that opinion was mocked until the last 7 years or so.

Not to pile on after a loss, but this was a great example of Jackson’s weaknesses. Guy just can’t throw the ball. He’s an all world athlete on the ground, but if that’s figured out his team can’t move the ball.

There’s no world in which he improves in a way that threatens a guy like mahomes (and borderline Allen if he builds in this year).

The problem with a QB like Jackson is they usually are weeded out as one dimensional by college. He is a tweener of some sort. One and a half dimensional or something. He can’t reliably thrown for sure when he’s pressured.

Any other team that trades all those picks for him will regret it..he could win a SB or two with SF, Indy or Pittsburgh and that payload wouldn't cripple em.

Come on Nas. There are a lot of Manning haters on this board (myself included). There’s no way you were alone in that thought.
