Tony should only have an issue with it if he actually called a take sign. He might have yelled that from the dugout (which might not have been heard) but it doesn't sound like he put it through the proper channel of the third base coach. Directly disobeying a command from the manager isn't an unwritten rule and Yermin has had a problem with rules not only this year but apparently in the past.

If it was just something he yelled at the last minute as the guy is in the batters box it's Tony who broke the proper protocols.

If this is really such a big issue then maybe it needs to be addressed by the league. Maybe position players shouldn't be allowed to pitch. Or maybe a team should be allowed to resign like in chess.

i was thinking the exact same thing as far as resigning

having a position player is basically that, so why go through the charade.

That type of thing is why I dont think they should use a mercy rule or resigning. They need to play it out until the 9th.

I think in that case they should start the 7th with a runner on second base.

So not only did the Mexican Joe Biden champion this unwritten rule of baseball, he defends the other team when they plunk his own guy and calls his own player "clueless" what a fucking disaster of a hire....I love it!

Mercedes is due to come back down to earth at some point soon, and when he does, TLR will be blamed for taking away his passion.

WE're nearly 7 weeks into the season, and Yermin still leads all of MLB in hitting by 20 points.

I'm not necessarily saying you are wrong and his power numbers have indeed cooled off some, but he just continues to hit. Monday night, he took a face high fastball into RF for a single. Last night, he took a slider that was breaking away from him and off the plate into RF for a hit. The guy can flat out hit and there doesn't seem to be anything that would suggest otherwise at this point.

Just get this dipshit out of the dugout. Heck, Timmy should "accidentally" let the bat slip in the on deck circle

I wonder how granular the salary discussions get with players...would Jerry say, "yes Yermin, you had 20 homers this year, but really it was only 19 because we don't count that one."

Mercedes is costing Jake Lamb at bats, and that makes Tony sad. So many immigrants taking jobs away from slow white guys.

How do you feel today if you are Brooks Boyer and your entire marketing slogan/hasthtag is #ChangeTheGame and this dipshit is in the dugout thinking it's the fucking 1960s.

0 fans attended last year. 8000 (or so) per game have been able to attend so far this year. Next home stand, its 24,000 (or so) per game that will be able to attend.

Nobody, not one, is coming out to watch TLR manage.
