Who minds horseradish? If its not too much it gives a nice flavor, if it is too much it gives more of a good flavor and clears out the sinuses.. Win win.

 Can't argue. But honestly I never saw another member of the community eating it before I did in college. I know it wasn't something my extended family ever had.

It's funny, I can't figure out if if it's because I stopped cooking or the pandemic that expanded my idea of a fair price.

We never touched horseradish as a family or whatever. I would have it from time to time with a prime rib or in cocktail sauce but I think I went to a passover seder and they had a homemade one there that would burn the nostril hairs right out of you. I think I was 30 or so. I became a BIG fan that day.

I was not the most adventurous of eaters as a kid but I try to do better now. My parents just didn't push us too hard on "different" things so if we resisted (Mostly after my folks made my brother eat something that he then proceeded to yack all over the able) they let it go. As an adult I like trying new things. Seafood stuff has been the big one for me.

A hot damn cocktail sauce if paradise. more so because my wife and kids won't touch that stuff. That said, I can take the horseradish hot but hot peppers I'm no there yet.

It's kind of incongruous, but yeah we're in the same boat family wise.

Toss the cocktail sauce that comes with a Jewel shrimp cocktail.

Use St Elmo's. I get it at Costco. Craziest horseradish sauce I've ever had.

Elmos is great. I grabbed some up in Michigan from a fishmonger to use for serving with a low country boil that I was doing on vacation. Ive considered ordering a case.

Today's caught me off guard. Ordinarily I make my own.

A lot of people really like this casserole. It's good with beef.

Bunoa Beef, using a coupon from a Sox game I went to last month. These are supposed expire within 24 hours. I'm sure good dolphin would be proud.

Just got a video from my sons in LA who are having breakfast at the breakfast diner in Pulp Fiction. Replete with a bottle of champagne and bottomless orange juice.

I thought that the Hawthorne Grill was not a real restaurant and only used for filming? The Big Lebowski coffee scene was shot there as well.

It's pretty much identical. Down to the bar, register and booths. But evidently there are movie pics galore there. Which knows?

I’ve had more Taco Bell in the past two weeks than I had in the previous 10 years.

Not a sustainable trend but…Taco Bell; I can’t quit you.

Leftover Costco rotisserie chicken breast diced and added into sauteed onions and red/yellow/green peppers with some green hatch chili salsa and a tablespoon of adobo. On top of rice. Not particularly complicated but effective.

Kinda grazing today watching the Premier League this morning and Ryder Cup this afternoon. Red pepper hummus and pita chips earlier, and then some coconut dal a little while ago. And a taste of the baked frozen butternut squash I have in the oven to be a side dish for the next couple of days.

Went to Johnnies Beef but the line was ridiculous and not moving so for some reason I thought Gene and Judes would be faster. Bad idea. Good hot dog though.

Subway is not very good. Even with "new bread".

That's where I was going to go but I wasn't hungry enough.

I might have run into an sjboyd.

Rammy's is very good. And has gotten very expensive.

I started going right when they opened and you could get a whole meal for about $5-6 incl. chips and drink.

Now it's like $12 or more.

But, it is the best sandwich shop I've been to in recent memory. Not quite up to Perry's Deli in my experience but it's a different kind of sandwich and not an apples to apples comparison.

The "new bread" had me trying it last month when I needed something quick. It was pretty blah.

I think it's probably just Aker. The Cubs had a pitcher named Jack Aker for a couple seasons in the 70s.
