Could very well be. Here is what I don't understand.

A guy does a whip kick, fist pump, yells something and its taunting. But the entire defense can run into the end zone and do a coordinated, choreographed dance routine to celebrate a getting a turnover and it's perfectly acceptable if not encouraged.

The NFL makes zero fucking sense with their rules. None. Its a big reason as to why I generally only watch Bears games during the season.

Based on some of the shit that's picked up by audio, they could call an unsportsmanlike penalty on every play.

They should just drop all the taunting rules and just let players know they can do whatever they want as long as it 1) doesn't incite a fight, so nothing directed at players, and 2) as long as whatever you're doing takes no longer than 7 seconds. Get the shit out of your system and then get back to your position. Oh, and the unwritten rule should be no celebrations if you're down in the second half. Always aggravating to see a guy celebrate a first down catch while being down 17 on the 4th quarter.
