When I worked in The Netherlands, some of my colleagues in their 20s asked me, “what is one tip you’d give us on relationships/marriage?” I said, “Learn when to pick your fights.” They all laughed and then I asked them if it was worth it to get into a fight over a pair of socks left on the floor.

I suffer a little bit from the piles of stuff affliction. Sometimes my husband helps me with it, it's fine. He knows never to touch any of it on his own and he ignores it most of the time. He's a good guy. We are talking about it now.

Both you and RR are correct IMO. Minor irritants are an inevitable part of life. Trying to change your spouse often leads to animosity so make sure it’s something worth fighting for. This doesn’t sound like one of those cases.

Maybe it's just my experience, but she's gonna find some reason to be pissed off and cut you off anyways, so you might as well clean her crap up the way you want it. She will never do so no matter what you try, and you'll at least feel better about that part of life.

I dropped off my boy very early today at O'Hare and am feeling the post holiday blues. This time of year really does have a lot of stress with work related end of the year demands and the realization that you have to make it all again the next year with expenses increasing.

Look dude my last two years have been a personal nightmare that I really didn't even know I was having. Well, I knew it but I was in denial.
