Just as was the case last year, the Mets have managed to miss the post season. Last years collapse was far more dramatic. But they had the wild card/division in sight right down to the final day again this season and blew it again. It's gotta suck to be a Mets fan these past 2 years.

no sympathy from me. and this coming from someone growing up in NY as a kid liking the mets...until i grew out of that and came to my senses...

but they've had their share of glory, and their fans are obnoxious enough to give anyone a hard time rooting for them.

Jon Stewart called it on the Daily Show last week that the Mets would blow it. He'll probably cry about it on Monday's show.

The Mets and Brewers both did pretty good at it, but one of them had to win it.

I wonder if Jerry Manuel will be relieved of his duties after this latest postseason meltdown by the New York Mets...

They'll probably wait for the team's first road trip to L.A. and then call Jerry at 2 a.m. after the first game and tell him he's fired and that they're not paying for the return trip to NY.
