Just as was the case last year, the Mets have managed to miss the post season. Last years collapse was far more dramatic. But they had the wild card/division in sight right down to the final day again this season and blew it again. It's gotta suck to be a Mets fan these past 2 years.

no sympathy from me. and this coming from someone growing up in NY as a kid liking the mets...until i grew out of that and came to my senses...

but they've had their share of glory, and their fans are obnoxious enough to give anyone a hard time rooting for them.

They'll probably wait for the team's first road trip to L.A. and then call Jerry at 2 a.m. after the first game and tell him he's fired and that they're not paying for the return trip to NY.
