Don't play him. That's just what they are expecting us to do.

Roquan Smith lost money by the minute, don't think players are lining up for advice from the oddly named Saint Omni.

Nothing against you Augie but PFF is a scam. 32 film graders with various football backgrounds (hopefully) then combining the results is ridiculous. The results within team that's scored by same grader can be somewhat useful if the grader knows what he's watching but there's a big question if that's the case. Who knows what the background of their graders is. Is the grader a former Division II QB who does some HS coaching or is it a guy that was in the band then decided to take a football film evaluation course?

There QB "expert" is an Irishman who never played football at any level...may have never even thrown a football in his life.

PFF could be a fun thing for fans but their hubris and the laziness of NFL writers actually makes it toxic. The writers love it because they don't have to re-watch games they just cite the very questionable PFF scores.

I’m not digging the Irish hate around here lately.

No, I get it. I can see where people would look at it critically. I got it for just another information source, mainly for the draft, as I didn't have the Athletic at the time. A lot of it is overkill and frankly mental masturbation at a certain point especially the fantasy and betting info. But overall, it's interesting to read a different perspective for me. I'm not planning to renew for next year, but you never know.

I'm posting it as more information for discussion around here. Your mileage may vary on its worth.

I thought I read that PFF graders come from the same place as call center operators...not kidding.

If it was Pro Rugby Focus you want that Irishman in there.

They have some kind of operation going on in Bangladesh. That was confirmed on a Philly morning show when the host demanded to watch film with the grader who was doing the Eagles.

A waste of time because unless they have access to every team's playbook they have no idea what each player is supposed to be doing on a play and/or the adjustments that should have been made given the way the opposition lined up.

Agreed. It’s for people who don’t want to watch the games, or never played in their life.. or just don’t understand the game very well so they lean on their ‘metrics’ and pie charts because it makes them feel included in something they’d otherwise be on the outside of.

From what I gather, a sport like Baseball is more metric friendly.. but basing too much of football on metrics is a fools errand imo. I’ve watched Jon Harbaugh lose enough times do to ‘going for it on 4th or going for 2’ because that’s what the metrics say Vs what the actual situation youre in says.. football is a game of situations and coordinated properly timed and executed assignments.. and if you don’t understand that and try to bypass it with nothing more than stats.. you’re in for it.
