You go down some of these rabbit holes and they fuck you up. "Even if this story isn't true, I know that story is." Then when you finally find a true story, it somehow proves that these things are happening everywhere. It's absurd. You can't convince an educated person otherwise because they already have been given numerous reasons why you wouldn't believe them.

This goes on the the left and right. These outrageous things existed when. I was a kid. There were stories of AIDS outbreaks in certain high schools. Parents were afraid to send their kids to those schools.

Honestly how many kids actually go to school libraries for books? Hell I know that I didn't back in the Stone age when I was in middle/high school. It was the public library or nothing. Now my kids relied on books already in my house or the internet.

Funny, I might go for that but it's religious, there is responsibility and moral obligations, and (I believe) encourages a life partner and we can't have that so it's going to be rejected. What we need in the school library is gender queer. Girls are gross and you should only be one so you can be used for male pleasure.

I do not really care about a gender queer book. This is coming from someone who is disgusted by JB installing tampon machings in the boys bathroom at public schools. After the last three years I think the transgendered thing is severely over blown by the media. It is more a fad than a pandemic for a lot of these kids.

Both Catholic grammar schools I went to had people molested that I knew. Both committed suicide as adults. One never reported it despite the priest being convicted for molesting others. The other was the reason the former pastor at one of my schools went to jail. I do not go around assuming every Catholic school has kids endangered of being molested.

Suicide is one of the most painful things anybody will ever encounter as is any sort of for lack of a better phrase sexual violation. It's so sad and the Catholic Church did so much wrong. I'm not sure that's true anymore. There is a lot out there on gender issues and there is a lot more than that out there in the public school system with sexual abuse you just don't see the list. If you ask your partner does she/he/they/xir know of anything or of rumors I bet the proper pronouns would. It's just as good as a secret with a better cover up and as much power behind it. I'd never condone any of it. We can probably start a thread.

Sexual misconduct and abuse in the public school system is more common than you think, the political leanings of the the teacher/school boards is irrelevant. I can't find the department of education info but a few articles cited a study from 2004 probably this one https://www.ojp.gov/ncjrs/virtual-libra ... -details-0 that it's at about 10% and the national center for victims of crime put it at about 9% for everybody. The likelyhood of it being a family member is about 35% and an acquaintance is at about 60%. It doesn't make teachers or priests bad. Here is an article that sites almost 3 per day in the CPS alone.

If you are really so concerned about the sexual abuse of children, then you would focus on the various ways in which they are being abused in their own household, seeing as that is very likely the very first place that they are actually "learning and being taught about sex".
