What is benefit of Fields playing this week if he is hurt?

If he's injured, he shouldn't play. If he's sore, he should. The game experience he missed last year may have benefited him. I want him to be further along as a passer going into the offseason. Becoming a competent passer makes him a top 10-15 quarterback. Becoming a good passer makes him a top 5 quarterback.

"Journeyman" Trevor Siemian has a slightly better career QB rating, better TD/int ratio, more pyg, equal sacks more starts than Fields. But, all in Spiegel referred to Fields as a "superstar" and a sure thing for the Bears to sign for big money. Haugh even brought up MVP talk for Fields.

Siemian’s over/under for passing yards is 184.5, which is higher than it’s been for Fields all year.

I can’t wait to hear Spiegel, Parkins, Bernstein, and Holmes when Siemian throws for 240 and wins the game. (I don’t think it will happen, but how fun would that be…)

Siemian may be the best quarterback on the field today. I would have felt better about that statement if half of the Bears secondary wasn't missing.

I, for one, am loving the fact that Fields is not playing. He could be our franchise QB. Save him for now! We suck and, frankly, GO DRAFT PICK GO! Rest him and let him heal. We do not need him injured worse than he already is! Glad to see they are being smart.
