That makes LeBron even the GOATer GOAT. He had to act as his own GM. Jordan had the GOAT of GMs in Jerry Krause so all he had to do was show up and play. LeBron had to assemble his own teams. We know Jordan is completely incompetent at assembling a team.

This is one of your dumber takes ever. Stop with that nonsense.

I assumed it was a little heavy handed. Every all time great player sucks playing GM. You need a birdseye view that doesn't exist when you are playing. Guys like Jordan and Elway keep looking for #1 players like them. They don't really exist.

Yeah, Krause was so excited to run Jordan, Phil, and everybody else out of town so he could really show how brilliant he was and we got Tyson and Curry out of it.

I would have to look back at those drafts, but I think Curry was his only true failure. You can't give an athlete heart. Literally and figuratively.

This is what I'm talking about. You have a childhood love for Jordan that will never allow you to consider anyone could be better. That's fine. I don't want to take that from you. But the fact that you're going to insult anyone who disagrees is absurd.

You're the meatball. "The best that ever was. The best that ever will be." Okay, guy.

That's not true. Reader mentioned Jerry West in this thread. I don't know if you want to call Ozzie Newsome an "all time great" but he is a Hall of Fame player and was one of the best GMs ever.

How would you make the argument that Jordan is not the GOAT?

Yeah the last couple years in LA show James is much better. Lol.

You mean the last two years when he averaged 30 points, 7 assists, and 8 rebounds per game at ages 37 and 38?

There have not been a lot of player-Gms. LeBron is one of the few to have wielded such power.

4 rings in 10 Finals. I think that's pretty much an A- for any GM.

Not really. Definitely not to the level of what LeBron has done. He has tried or gotten at least 4 coaches fired that "WE" know of.

Are you saying 4 rings out of 10 finals is fake news? Was it really the actor who played a disguised Damar Hamlin (RIP) the whole time and not LBJ?

Didn't you previously make the argument that LeBron didn't need the other players in order to get those rings? It was all due to his greatness as a player. Now you seem to be crediting it to his greatness as a Gm.

He left a shit ass team to win rings, won those rings and then went back to said team and won rings then went to the biggest market and won rings. If that's not incredible I don't know what is.

So we're now celebrating the fact that LeBron James quits on teams once it becomes obvious that they are no longer shit?

Have you noticed teams are averaging 116 pts a game? In the 90's it was less than a 100. That's at least 32 extra points a game. Guys from that era say Jordan would average 40+ a game. I've seen Jordan play personally a few hundred times. Almost every shot was a good look. It amazed me in 1984 and it amazed me in 1998. Michael Jordan was an maniacal overachiever who's talent was already in the stratosphere. He's also in the team picture for all time defensive players. You seem to be a guy who respects the likes of Russell and Chamberlain while I give them no nevermind. Russell wouldn't be in today's NBA, and Wilt would be a fairly nice piece. Jordan would demolish the NBA right now. Destroy it. Leave it in ashes.

That's claptrap. It's just Jordan worship. NBA players "evolved" until Jordan and then just stopped "evolving."
