Nas and I scouted Bagent at the memorial outing. He missed a lot of throws.
Two football bigfoots breaking down tape, must have been a sight to behold.
Does Andy Reid sit next to you guys at the super duper secret Facebook group meetings?
He was on our Zoom call. We didn't want him to steal our nuggets.
Busting some balls, but let get a bit serious.
Go back and watch the Raiders game, you see a guy running the outside zone offense on time and taking the crossers and check downs you get when the oline gets the d moving laterally, you do not see that with Fields who is slow in his drop and is looking downfield rather than taking easy plays, even when Fields made the read he could not deliver an accurate and on time throw to give the back or WR a chance to get upfield, he almost killed Mooney on a couple air mail throws.
Then go and watch the Seattle version, they ran more stretch plays and looked for Metcalf if the safety hesitated on the stretch fake, Bagent tried to do this against the Saints, but the NFL was on to his lack of arm strength and knew the corner or safety could recover as the ball hung up in the air.
There was a reason the offense looked quicker under Bagent, and slowed under Fields, the rest of the NFL sees how slow Fields is in getting to his landmarks, and how he either misses or passes up on obvious reads, this is why there is not a huge demand for him, the rest of the league sees and under average QB that can run, but not a guy that can run an offense that depends on timely reads and accurate throws, which come to think of it, is almost every offense ever created.
Plenty of work for the next super duper secret FB meeting, but I am sure you guys are breaking down tape of FA DT's to see if the elusive three tech is out there somewhere and tape of the FA centers to see if they have the traits and athletic ability they want for the scheme they are running.
This is why you will likely see a few surprises as Poles has shown that he has different ratings on guys based on how they fit the offensive scheme he obviously likes because he has hired two OC's that run it.
