Here’s what we know right now. Caleb Williams is not one of the ten best quarterbacks in the NFL right now, he’s not even in the top twenty, he’s probably worse than most team’s backups (including the Bears) at this time.

If you cannot cope with these facts as a Bears fan fine, but don’t expect the rest of us to indulge your delusions.

This is the best QB play we’ve seen since Cutler, and probably better, as Cutty was a see-the-guy-open kind of thrower.

The TD throw to Moore and the seam to Kmet were throws no Bear QB would’ve made. It’s week 4 and he didn’t do anything egregiously stupid. He’s improving every week and nothing about it is gimmicky.

(Pro Bowl QB) (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky's Pro Bowl year is the standard for the Bears. It's a shame it was only one year.

Statistically it is, but you could see his computer didn't work well and he couldn't recognize a zone to save his life. He was also mentally fragile.

Fields has thrown for more yards on 40 fewer attempts and avg 2 yards more per completion than Caleb and also has a higher completion % yet Caleb "can throw" and Fields cannot. Ok

I beg Bears fans to just Google “Mitch (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky 2018 Tampa Bay” and watch him. Realize that even that wasn’t really good enough to sustain and think about how far Caleb Williams has to improve to get to that level. It’s not realistic.

Maybe many years from now he’ll have a Baker Mayfield outcome, but like Baker he will need to be seriously humbled before that can happen. He will never succeed in Chicago. Its fucking over.

You play golf. Keep in mind that it was just a week ago that "Tee Time" was proclaiming how well Caleb played despite the fact that he had 3 turnovers.

Mitch made those throws and many better. Fields easily could make them too. Its nothing special, you just want it to be.

lol Mitch never made throws like that, are you nuts? On both of those throws Williams made Mitch's wobbly wounded duck gets picked, and Fields overthrows both by a considerable margin.

Did you workshop this? It feels like you're putting out a lot of effort, but not getting many bites. If it means anything to you, I would have taken the bait if I didn't know it was you and it was a little bit subtle.

This one?

I'm not saying it wasn't a great performance by Mitch, but please identify a single one of those throws that was on par with Caleb hitting Moore for the TD or Kmet up the seam. I'm pretty confident in saying that Williams could make each of the throws in that highlight reel, but Mitch couldn't make either of the ones Williams did yesterday.

Was Tampa that bad that year or was Nagy actually a decent coordinator underneath all his gimmicky bullshit?

They were bad and the league hadn't figured Nagy out.

Mitch also hit open receivers. Something Williams is not really capable of doing more than ten yards downfield.

I just watched a 5 minute highlight clip to refresh. He was good. Mostly hit wide open guys but did so accurately. Didn’t see any anticipation throws in that 5 minutes so I’ll stand on my point re: Caleb’s processing superiority.

As a guy whose Mitch bit evolved into somewhat of a fandom, I really leaned into that performance.

Justin Fields had more Highlight plays in yesterday's game than "Generational talent" Caleb has had all season.

Three of those TD's were busted coverages.

5 of 6 were his first read.

Fields has thrown for more yards on 40 fewer attempts and avg 2 yards more per completion than Caleb and also has a higher completion % yet Caleb "can throw" and Fields cannot. Ok
Why won't Tomlin let Fields throw?

I kept screaming about the talent around Mahomes and assumed anyone could learn how to read a zone defense. Oops!

If (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky played every year like he did that second year we'd have him as the best Bears QB of all time right now.

He regressed especially when Nagy decided he shouldn't run.

Doesn’t seem to be an issue for Jayden Daniels. Wasn’t an issue for CJ Stroud last year. Two guys the Bears had every opportunity to draft.

I mean he either earned the rating or he didn't by running the plays that were called. They also won the game. I'm not sure what the measuring stick in this town is anymore.
