Hey stupid. When you started mocking people for correctly proclaiming that the Bears had an "above average defense" with dumbass statements such as this,
Juice's Lecture Notes wrote:
Above average defense, mind you.

They were 7th in the NFL in points allowed at the time. Each and every team in front of them is a playoff team.

Only an idiot (a role which your golf playing ass fills rather dutifully around here) would think that a defense with those numbers was bad.

The problem is that finding good cornerbacks is really hard and its a position with immense impact. When Tyrique Stevenson’s head is screwed on he’s really good, you can’t just let that go you have to try and make it work.

Having guys like Nate Davis and Chase Claypool get excuse after excuse and chance after chance set an awful precedent in the building. There’s no accountability in the Bears world, so guys like Stevenson who have all this potential just wind up squandering it because nobody keeps them disciplined.

People are STILL blaming the defense even after a game the Bears lost 6-3. smdh.

Oh and now Stevenson is carrying that torch. He’s the bad example that other guys will emulate. The cancer just spreads forever.

Points allowed is the the main metric due to Football's scoring system.

There's 5 playoff teams below them so...

The Bears have a surprisingly good red-zone defense. They've turned some would-be touchdown drives into field goals and turnovers on downs. Something to be said for that. But doing bend-but-don't-break keeps them on the field longer than they should be, plus the anemic offense sends them right back out.

Fun fact - on the date of Eberflus’ firing, they were scoring more points per game than they were allowing.

And yet…

No, the offense has been bad. The defense has also been bad.

Duh it was because of the 2 bumslaying games.

The Bears offense has scored 17 points or less 10 times this season I believe. Will check for validation.

10 games this season the Bears offense has scored 17 points or less.

None of "The advanced stats" trumps their points per game avg. Particularly their avg when dupes like Caddyshack were bashing people for daring to say that they had an "above average" defense. When clearly they had an above average defense.

Without blinking I could easily find at least 6 more games which the Bears would have won this season had they simply had a better offense.

Nothing I said there is wrong. The "Bend, don't break" defensive principle means they allow teams to march up and down the field but tend to force them to settle for fewer points in the Red Zone. Those long sustained drives affect clock management because opposing offenses are given 5+ minutes of game clock to burn every time they get the ball.

They also got the brakes beaten off them 3 out of the last 4 weeks. That's not "playoff caliber".

I think you’re starting to understand why average points per game isn’t necessarily a great metric but I’m not optimistic you’ll get all the way there.

More Gaslighting. Which if you have to resort too
immediately disqualifies whatever you have to say. And the fact that every team in front of the Bears at the time and a few below the Bears happened to have made the playoffs means that it is a "great metric" for measuring effectiveness.

And I'd much rather use that a "metric" than believe the words of dudes that have been wrong about LITERALLY everything that they have had to say about the Bears this season.

Every "suggestion" has blown up in the damn team's face. So spare me the Gaslighting about what a "great metric" is or is not and start getting some things correct first.

Placing yardage over avg ppg as a"metric" for assessing the effectiveness of a defense is utterly stupid.
Particularly so given the fact that each and every team ahead of the Bears was a playoff team. As were quite a few teams below the Bears at the time.
The Bears very "above average defense" gave them a chance to be a "playoff team" this season. Their extremely putrid offense did not.

And the extrapolation of a few games "here and there" only further weakens what was on its face a rather stupid argument. At the time you were whining about the Bears extremely "above average" defense, they'd only given up more than 21 points once I believe.
Juice's Lecture Notes wrote:

Nice try. Won't work. You were bashing the Bears "above average" defense long before the previous 4 games occurred.

If I had your failed outlook, I wouldn't be "optimistic" about anything either. You're currently bucking for one of the worst offenses in the NFL and stupidly proclaiming that they weren't the problem when it was very much clear that they were the problem. As the last game clearly illustrated.

Your incessant need to "gaslight" should be of more concern to you. I doubt that it is.

Fact of the matter is that your "analysis" will have more credibility once you actually start getting some things correct. That's usually how it works.

Your “analysis” begins and ends with dick riding a backup QB in another conference.

Did these many Chicagoans tell you this at the Millennium Park docks?

Is that why you’re obsessed with Fields and ignore how bad the defense has been?

Actually yes. Those very same Chicagoans would know exactly where the Docks in Millennium Park happened to be if you told them. Dudes who have to rely on GPS for their "direction" would not. I'm one of the dudes that does not.

As far as the Bears goes, I simply provided a pathway which gave the team a better chance to win. While clowns like you did not. There is a reason that MANY Chicagoans entered this season booing Caleb Williams during the Bears first game. And it wasn't because they believed the same thing which a few dopes on the internet who never disagree about anything happened to believe. And there is also a reason which they exited this season booing the very same Caleb Williams.
Now you can continue to be a Caleb ball washer and fanboy if you like..And continue to bash any and everyone else but him. But that ain't exactly benefitting the Bears and our perpetually disappointed fanbase now is it?

Wyc?

You’re geographically challenged and counter criticism of the defense with reflexive Caleb bashing due to some sort of unrequited love for Fields.

I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re sending Williams Ransom font letters.

You're "argumentatively challenged"
You are currently ball washing and acting as a fanboy for one of the worst QBs in the NFL this season.
And the Fields hate is rather dumb seeing as he has the very same number of wins in 6 games as your guy Caleb has in 16 this season.

As stated previously, your "analysis" would be much more credible if you were actually correct about anything.

Wait Field's only played in 6 game's? What happened? I hope he/they is ok. He/they should have won more game's then Will Levis, Caleb William's Jayden Daniel's and Bo Nix if he/they is as good as you say but he/they didnt. So i guess he/they got injured?

And the Fields hate is rather dumb seeing as he has the very same number of wins in 6 games as your guy Caleb has in 16 this season.

As stated previously, your "analysis" would be much more credible if you were actually correct about anything.

Wait Field's only played in 6 game's? What happened? I hope he/they is ok. He/they should have won more game's then Will Levis, Caleb William's Jayden Daniel's and Bo Nix if he/they is as good as you say but he/they didnt. So i guess he/they got injured?

The fact that Pittburghs backup won as many games in 6 as Chicago's Starter will win 17 validates that Pittsburgh's backup is better than Chicago's starter numbnuts.
