Some observations:

I'd never trust a horse just off a win in a futures pool. I like Stardom Bound, but 12-1 is a serious underlay. Same for Friesan Fire. Given how much more difficult Flying Pegasus had it in the Risen Star Stakes, I'm a but surprised he is as high as 30-1.

If you're in the mood for a lottery, you could do a lot worse that 50-1 for Haynesfield.

I don't trust Midshipman. Big win on synthetics + Dubai training plan = DEATH for Derby horses.

Friesen Fire ran a very professional race in the Risen Stae considering many had him pegged for a bounce. Giant Oak did have some trouble and ran credibly. Might improve with distance.
