Actually, I went to journalism camp right after I graduated high school, but that's as far as it went. It was at Roosevelt University downtown, and two of the highlights of that camp were meeting Ray Suarez, who used to report for NBC5 back in the '90s & I believe is now with National Public Radio or PBS, one of the two...He's not to be confused with the Ray Suarez who was once my Alderman in the 31st Ward, and his real first name is Regner. I also took in an actual Mayoral Press Conference at City Hall during a month long event during the summer nearly 20 years ago...Last but not least, I didn't mean to offend "Ranger" in regards to an earlier post in this section, and I owe you an apology. It's not often that "Ranger" gets an opportunity to talk something besides White Sox baseball & provide "Scoreboard Updates" for Chicago sports fans. I'm a little embarrassed.
You do a terrific job, "Ranger", and I thought you came a long way this past season covering the Sox. I'm real sorry if I offended you, my friend...
SHARK, I'm not at all offended with anything you've said. I was just seriously wanting to know the motivation behind writing the way you do. It's a message board. You can just say, "Ranger was on the Score," instead of saying, "Chris 'The Ranger' Rongey was broadcasting on Chicago's Sportsradio 670 the Score, a CBS radio station." Just wondering...but by all means, carry on.
