Monsters had Joe Cowley on yesterday. Joe espoused the "WHY DOES EVERYBODY ONLY CARE ABOUT THIS NOW?" viewpoint and said that he thinks all the roid guys should get in the HOF because: Why should the snotty, pencilneck media guys who salivate over this crap get the opportunity to get ahead in their careers by covering this and playing patrolmen with HOF Membership? I could not help but think that every time Joe would pin some or all of the blame on Bud Selig, Mike would staunchly argue against it or change the subject.

He sounded exactly like he was being a "Jerry, Jr.", smooching right up to the ass that saved his show for a few more weeks and gave them the biggest media punch since the outset. (I am assuming here that Everyone with ears knows that Reinsdorf and Selig are butt buddies, and that Reinsdorf specifically placed Selig at the helm of baseball so he could control it like a puppet - I have spoken directly to some local MLB Agents and the stories they have, especially about the Mid-90's Strike and how Jerry got his way then, are incredible). He did not sound at all like he really believed that Bud was not responsible - it was almost like he was winking at Jerry R. through the camera, afraid to cross the powerful co-owner of Comcast that could hold much veto power if other Comcasties look to sink Mike's ship someday.

In all seriousness, though, I am finding the show really enjoyable now. It is picking up steam and the flow is getting pretty good - the back and forth between him and Dan was pretty heated on Tuesday's show - and it is really worth watching (real Chicago Sports Fans should really TIVO it and watch it at night because, like I said, it is getting pretty good). It really is like the 90's Score, and I do look at it with a very critical eye. Danny Mac was right when he that the old flavor could and should be brought back.

If some of you hard-headed haters out there really wanted to get back to the roots of why we are at this site - local, hometown sports talk, you really should check it out.

2. Mike continues to pimp beyond my tolerance rosemont and NDHS, its not necessary, its cheap and kills anything they may be building.

You have to watch the show - I watch or flip through (programmed Comcast remote to flip forward 30 secs) every show. Yesterday they had a pretty entertaining discussion about the best championship in Chicago the Past 30 years (Bears, Bulls, or WHite Sox), and, although Mike did routinely get his facts wrong (he kept claiming that it was the 1997 Bulls went 72-10), it was an interesting debate and it was fun to relive those moments.

My take on the three? the 2005 White Sox - they came out of "left field" - literally.

Reason: Bulls had Jordan, Bears were stacked and were expected to win.
