At least the NL is a little more competitve this year with the AL only winning 53% of the games so far. 4 AL teams actually have a losing record against the NL

Somehow, it would still be blamed on the fact that the AL has a DH and therefore head to head competition is unfair for judging strength.

The tide is turning...IMO the AL dominance peaked in 04-05...and has been coming back since.

The only thing about the DH...is its one more postion to spend money on...but the head to head games are fair.

None of those guys are "extra" pitchers frank. Every team has it's 5 starters and wants the best 5 they can get, a good 6-7 inning guy, a hold specialist and a closer. The "extra" pitcher is always a bullpen guy, some inning eater who gets put in mop up roles. The "extra" pitcher < the "Extra" hitter.

you have a point francis but the NL is at a slight disadvantage when it comes to free agents...like guys who can still hit but cant play the field...ortiz a couple years ago...thome...frank thomas...NL teams cant go after those guys...but AL teams can get value.

ah yes luring pitchers is harder in the AL. So I guess its even.

I wish they would just do the DH in the NL. Both should be the same either way but I prefer the DH. Its crazy its like if the Western Conference had a 5 fouls and your out rule or the AFC doesnt have 2 pt conversions.

Right thats the point frank when those guys become soooo bad they have to DH they will go to the AL...NL teams will be out of luck

Pujols is a good fielder
