There are things I personally don't like but I don't think the government should make them illegal. I bet every single person here has something in that category.

For example I think pot is wrong and am too smart to ever smoke it but I think it should be legal.

She has the same opinion on gay marriage as the President.

Basing your vote on someones opinion on this type of issue who's running for office where he may decide it is one thing.

But saying someone should not be Miss USA because she doesn't follow lock step in with your beliefs is different.

Perez Hilton is a douchebag. He always has been.

He looks every HS or college kid devoid of substance or intellect who thinks that dressing like a buffoon makes them artsy/interesting/unique/whatever.

This is what happens when an event, a pageant, looks to generate interest/controversy, and the result is that a judge has upstaged the contestants/participants who in turn are supposed to promote the virtue/validity of the event.

We don't attend sporting events for the refs/umpires and people aren't paying attention to pageants for the judges. American Idol may have broken form by heightening the judges, but the bottom line is their ability to identify pop talent.

The network/producers went with an attention-whore burrito who has stolen the buzz this event would normally hope to generate. Bring him back next year? It only gets worse.

But I'll stick with her because at least she was trying to be as honest as she could be about herself. Intolerance shouldn't be acceptable because it goes against convention.
