Agree yet Schmitty??????????????????????

Back to Back to lose the game!!!!!!!!! THE WORST! WWORSTTTTTT

He throws strikes like he is the pitching coach throwing Batting Practice holding the ball up for an extra second or two so the batter can focus on the pitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And of course you used the f word which when used shows the user is a complete idiot.

The best thing about the f word is the second anyone uses it you know they have the IQ of a turnip unless it's used appropriately.

But it's the idiot generation. Whenever I meet anyone under 25 I fear for the future. Braindead people who would die in an hour if they lost their cellphone.

I didn't say that you don't know what a sentence means, I said you don't know how to write one. But since you have an IQ larger than a turnip, you already new that.

Remove the f word form my post and the criticism still stands, you criticize people for being idiots because they don't believe what you do; yet you do it in an unintelligent fashion.

Oh, and nice generalization, is that what everyone with an IQ larger than a turnip does? You rip me for being stupid, yet you use generalizations based off of nothing... hmm I'm starting to see a pattern here.

I'm sure such a sentiment was expressed frequently by the generation preceding yours, and the one before that, and the one before that.

what they will do & what they should do are two different things. Gregg will continue to close, and Cubs will lose critical games down the stretch because of it.

Sorry the "Gregg has been OK statement" makes me sick!

That is just the problem! ! Mark Guthire was OK at one time.

Any pitcher should "OK" and getting 3 outs or 2 outs, or even 1 out in an inning is not that hard of a thing to do,.

This guy has now given up 10 HR's and has an ERA of over 4.00! and this didn't just happen today! Neother of these stats show the number of balls crushed on him to the warning tracks in games!

Unless he starts changing how he pitches, he can be waived for all I care!

There's no doubt this fucking Gregg guy blows. Just another of Hendry's trades that suck ass. This prick has hamstrung this team for the next few years with his horrible generally managing. They are going nowhere fast.

Hey, hey, ho, ho, fucking Hendry needs to go.

I would like to see Guzman given a chance to close games too. Hell, try Marshall if there are a couple tough left handed hitters up in the 9th. Unless you have a true bonafide closer, and the Cubs do not, I would try a closer by committee approach. Use Marmol too. Look at the matchups, managers nowadays have so many stats at their disposal I am sure they can look at a batter and see OK, this hitter has struggled against Guzman in his career. Lets go with Guzman.

I watched a little of MLB network yesterday and they had the Cards-Royals WS game 6 on, watching that game reminded me that the Cards had a bullpen by commitee approach that year and almost won the WS. Jeff Lahti...Jeff Lahti!? led the team with 19 saves that year.

Of course, no manager is willing to think outside the box because it's just easier to name one closer and if he fails, well don't blame the manager, blame the closer, he didn't get the job done.

Thats a decent option. He has an out pitch (slider) and his control is much better this year...Okay. If you had said Marmol, I couldnt agree, because of the control issues. But with the recent additions to the staff, I could see sliding Guzman out of that 6-7th inning role and into the closers spot.

And I will agree that the problem with Gregg is he is a closer with questionable control and below average stuff. Actually the former Cub he most reminds me of in terms of stuff is Matt Karchner. No out pitch so he is pretty much throwing BP up there. Gregg has given up 10 HR's as the closer this year that is just unacceptable. On his baseball reference page he is most similar through age 30 to Darren Holmes Jerry Dipoto Bobby Howry Mike Timlin Ed Farmer and Derrick Turnbow......BAD.

Who the hell refers to ERA when talking about a closer? He may or may not be the worst evar, but ERA doesn't have any correlation.

ERA and Wins are pretty worthless pitching stats. I prefer WHIP and K/9 and BB/9 and QS's.

He is similar to last season's Bobby Howry....the one most people couldn't wait to get rid of.
