Id like to offer up a suggestion for location:

Woodscreek Park, Crystal Lake

Golf Course and Ackman Roads - 40 Acres
Woodscreek Park is home to one of the finest outdoor play areas for children in Crystal Lake. Crystal Castle is a large community built wooden playground structure designed for preschool and elementary age children. Soccer practice areas and a bike path which connects Fetzner Park, Woodscreek Park near Woodscreek Elementary School and eventually Winding Creek Park is available. A multi-purpose building houses restrooms, Park District programs and public rentals at the park. Woodscreek Park is also the site of a Memorial Walkway and fishing pier. No swimming, ice skating or boating is allowed on the pond. A unique and protected wetland area surrounds the pond. A parking lot is available for easy access to the site.

Is Crystal lake in Wisconsin? If so, I'm not allowed there anymore.

We wont have to worry. Though Im sure the resulting play "A Harlem Boy Lost in Poland" should be worthwhile to see.

James Park in Evanston is HUGE & there's always open space to play.

Speaking from experience, the lakefront (anywhere) is out as it's always packed on fall weekends (soccer leagues).

There are also several large open areas in Westchester (which seems to be the most centered locale as well as easily accessible via multiple expressways).

That sounds like a fantastic idea that is sure to work! We can have two players run head on into eachother to retrieve the ball in the middle of the field to decide possesion. That sounds safe...

At least you'd be able to have "Krazy Ivan" & "Hawkeye Vince" on your jerseys (each other's of course).

OK, who's going to take the reins and find a freaking park? I saw we do it at Hiawatha and keep tradition alive.

I still vote for Westchester as it seems centrally located for most.

And by the way, if anyone is in Evanston around 9:30am on Sundays, me and some other old guys play football each week. PM me if you're interested in playing...
