I never doubted his ability Nas, only his ability to stay healthy.

You've had his back from the get go. Let me be the first to give you your props. He looks like the real deal.

He's very good, IMO. I was a serious doubter through the preseason, but no more. The injuries are an unfair criticism; they could have happened to anyone. Bottom line, his throwing has been very good, and his team is, from all appearances, very much behind him. Could it be, for once, the Bears have a franchise QB? I almost hate to consider it for fear that the thought might somehow ruin what we have going. But there is no doubt whatever, IMO, that what we've seen is well above average at that position.

I just look at what he has done with those receivers and am impressed. The deep ball has been amazingly accurate all year.

The TD to BB was a thing of beauty. Great call, better touch, game over...

Props to Nas for his Grossman support. It's amazing how there's always a quarterback controversy (whether warranted or not) coming out of training camp. Controversy my ass...I've got a feeling we won't be seeing Mr. Griese on the field this year.

If Nostradamus weren't already taken as a screen name, Nastradamus would surely have to change his to that. Great call, Nas!

I do have to say, though, that I was surprised by two things yesterday:

1)Seattle seemed to have a relatively simple game plan. They didn't seem to change coverages much or have a varied blitz package. I don't think I saw any zone blitzing, though I could be wrong. The Vikings game showed that Grossman will make stupid decisions when under consistent pressure. On the other hand, Grossman has also shown that he will kill you if given adequate time to throw the ball. When Seattle saw that its front 4 wasn't doing the job, their D coordinator should have changed things up. Bad game plan.

2)I am absolutely shocked that teams aren't trying much harder to bump Berrian at the line. If he has demonstrated anything in his NFL career thus far, it's that he can run by defenders with ease on deep patterns. You need to chuck the guy at the line or he will burn you for huge yardage at least once per game. Why defenses continue to play soft on him is a mystery to me.

Well made points TM. Timing is everything in football and the Seahawks did almost nothing to break the Bears timing. Given time, lots of QBs will find the open man. Grossman is doing it at almost every opportunity.

That sign at the game last night "Rex, we're sorry for all the bad things we said." was perfect. I should sign my name on it b/c I was tired of waiting for the star injured player to get on the field and produce...must have something to do with being a Cub fan.

I'm still a little concerned with the secondary.

Yeah, Peanut still blows. But if Tommie Harris continues to play like he has been thus far, it won't matter. If I were an offensive coordinator for an opposing team, though, I would pick on Peanut all day.

Yeah, Peanut is definitely the weak link in that defensive chain.
