The Golden Hammock refers to a midday shift that is the creme filling between two very solid crunchy cookies (in morning and afternoon drive). I thought a WLUP executive in the early '90s undervalued Kevin Matthews when I heard him say "Kevin is in the golden hammock position where a monkey can win." Kevin , albeit for a short time, was a tremendous talent and to say he was the beneficiary of terrific talent around him (Johnny B in mornings and Steve and Garry in afternoons) discredited Kevin's contributions. So.... "the golden hammock" is a cushy existence where midday ratings are more of a result of the shows that "flank" it.

Thanks for the support, Franky, but I do feel I owe this to my listeners and always will be accessible to this board. I don't care that other hosts don't.... that's their choice.... I'm just a believer in grass roots level promotion and being among you cats. Ya know why? I am.

Maybe I'm a bit ignorant or naive, but I'm guessing that the government already has all that stuff. If they really want to find out something about somebody, they can.

I mean, just about everything we do is monitored somehow or another. You really can't hide from anything. Best bet is don't do anything to incriminate yourself. Yeah, I'm not exactly comfortable with the whole "Big Brother" thing, but what are ya gonna do?

Mac, I have been a Score listener for several years and listened to Murph and B&B mostly. Couldn't stand North, and Mully and Hanley are OK. I have to say that your show is the best I've listened to for many years. You guys have the right blend of humor, non-sports topics, guests, "feel", and hard analysis. And you and Spiegs clicked right away. Keep up the good work.
