I watched this game and he was only throwing "strikes" because the batters wiffed at pitches out of the strike zone.
I'll reserve judgement on Jenks for when he doesn't face AAAA batting. Would you consider "Z" to be back and dominant when he beats the Pirates?

A 98 MPH pitch at the shoulders. I don't think many major leaguers can catch up with a 93 mph pitch at the shoulders really. But again, a 5-7 mph increase probably isn't hgh, it's probably a bullshit gun.

No, but I was watching in a semi drunk and stoney state so it's possible my memory is hazy. I recall an outside slider for a called 1st, followed by said high cheese for a swinging 2 (fouled off, behing the plate???), then a fairly nasty curve inside the low inside corner for a swinging 3rd. But again, I was a bit wasted. So... yeah. I was more worried about how to follow my Am, Dm, Em with a Gmaj or to change from Am, Dm, Gmaj at the time.

It is very good to see that the Sox are taking business of the garbage teams in the AL especially with the Twins playing well lately. I am still very pleasantly surprised by Santos and how he is still pitching. Beckham going opposite field was also really good to see.

i still tend to think kenny is on the fence on what to aquire...i think tonight send him in the direction of what to do....if gracia is solid i think he will go with the bat which rumor has it he is leaning towards anyway, but if freddy is bad thats a pretty ominous sign and i think he aquires a # 3 or 4 starter

Konerko is going to be dogged by home/road splits regarding his power when he hits free agency...which is why I think he will try to avoid the discussion altogether and give the Sox a nice discount of about 3 years and 27 million.
