I don't have time to read thru the threads, but I just went back and glanced at pages like 4 and 5 in the Cubs forum. I saw about 15-20 Theo threads. I'm sure there are multiple examples of Theo adoration there.

1) I don't buy into your theory that the media creates the Theo adoration rather than reflecting it so I would submit, among other cover stories, a picture of a guy walking on water in an analogy to a person I consider the literal God of all things known and unknown

Epstein is a good gm with a winning record. Fans are excited he's here. That doesn't mean he's blindly followed.

Also, many people on this board seem to think the Cubs were the first team to ever rebuild. Every year several teams go into the season knowing they are not playoff bound.

Not often a team as mighty as the heritage franchise NL Chicago Baseball Club.
